Netless - Blogging from the St. Louis suburbs. We’ve been here for the past few days visiting family, and I’m using the free time to plug along on the 19 specs that I need to get written. The weather here beats Seattle by a long shot right now; sunny and 70 is better than cloudy and 55. The zoo here was nice, and we visited some touristy things downtown.
It is nice to get connected for a few minutes. The Frontier Post is reporting that the U.S. is working on a sort of “damage control” strategy, in which we split Afghanistan into a “Northern Republic of Afghanistan” and a southern half (which we will not officially recognize). This sounds like a “North Korea/South Korea” or “North Vietnam/South Vietnam” situation, and could only be seen as a way to back out of the conflict while minimizing loss of face. Hopefully this turns out to be flawed reporting.
